Welcome to Southern Winds, where our goal is to enhance the natural talent of our horses through hard work and specific goals. Each of our Warmbloods and Sport Horses are fit to their selected disciplines by natural talent; the Dressage horse is naturally calm and submissive, the Show Jumper speedy and flexible, the Hunter well-mannered with a ground-covering stride, the Eventer brave and multi-talented.
Located within Bam’s Blackstone Park in Southern Vermont, Southern Winds is also home to a select string of Thoroughbred racers. All of our racers were bred to run by natural instinct, and after their racing career they will be selected as either top-notch breeders, or will continue on to a discipline that is suited to their personality until retirement. We make sure all of our horses are naturally inclined to do what they do, and that they take to it with a mindset that says they enjoy doing it.
